Introducing Woody the White Shepherd

Let's face it, 2020 has not turned into the year of promise and hope I was looking for last January, but in these days of pandemics we decided that if we're going to be stuck at home 24/7, we could take advantage of that time to get our first puppy, Woody! Yes, sure, I'm in... Continue Reading →

Yuki’s Story: The End

Today Yuki no longer has to suffer his cancers, his bad hips, his arthritis.  Today Yuki is freed from suffering any longer.  He will be sorely missed.  I cry openly as I write this because I am sad and because our family will be smaller and will lack the joy his quirky, happy personality brought... Hello 2019

Another year has passed here at twodo.gs, and I'm happy to report that all our doggos are alive and mostly well. Yuki, the sickest, still has two cancers to battle.  His osteosarcoma is very apparent in his front leg, and he is getting bone-strengthening treatments once-a-month to delay the inevitable break.  He's lost most of... Yuki’s Story Continues: From Bad to Worse

Yuki’s struggle against cancer has received a significant blow this week, and the prognosis is not good. First to recap how we got here, it was October, 2017, when we took Yuki to the Vet for a skin problem and Yuki left the Vet diagnosed with stage 4 Lymphoma. We got Yuki to the Oncologist... Yuki’s Story: The Story (sadly) Continues

Yuki's cancer has returned. After about 5 months of celebrating Yuki's successful journey through chemotherapy to fight and put his Lymphoma into remission, July's discovery that his lymph nodes were swelling again was very upsetting. We had noticed in June/July that his skin problems were returning and Mom then noticed his lymph nodes increasing in... Continue Reading →

Yuki’s Story: Finale

I'm not going to string this out. Simply put, Yuki is CANCER FREE! Recently, Yuki went in for his final exam and "re-staging" after finishing his 20 weeks of chemotherapy. They did lots of tests that day, blood, ultrasounds, etc., and it all looked good. They also took a sample from one of his lymph... Continue Reading →

Yuki’s Story – Round 4, Week 1

Yuki is now on his last round of chemotherapy, and soon we'll know if all this was any help in extending his life. We are anxious to know if all these treatments will give us more time with our beloved pet, but they also made us realize that every moment with our dogs is a gift and that their presence in our life, and the affect they have on our lives, should never be take for granted.

Yuki‘ a Story – Round 3, Week 2

Liver wurst Yuki's third round of Cytoxan began this week, but it almost didn't happen. Yuki's liver values were still going in the wrong direction when he was tested before his chemo. This brought on a "all hands on deck" situation at the Oncologist's office as they decided to find out what was going on... Continue Reading →

Yuki’s Story: Round 3, Week 1

Just a quick update. Yuki has begun his third round of chemotherapy this week with Vincristine again. One thing, however, that has caused some concern with the oncologist is Yuki's Liver numbers. His total bilirubin number was high and after re-checking was much lower but remained above normal. The doctor decided to lessen the Vincristine... Continue Reading →
