In happier times, the crew is seen here posing for a photo. Oddly enough Dandy was the one who wouldn’t sit still as she kept chewing on her stick creating all kinds of odd and funny faces. This was the best of the lot.
Dandelion
We lost our little Dandy recently and there’s definitely been a hole created by her absence.
Just a little humor
To lighten things up a bit, I’ll throw this up here. The image, taken some Halloween in the past couple years, brings out laughs every time I look at it. Yes, the text boxes and font aren’t great, but you get the idea.
Why “twodo.gs” and that header image?
Since I am coming back to this after a few years, I probably should explain the blog title and the header image. Yuki and Pecos were the original Two Dogs. After I lost my long time companion Archie (a black Lab-Rottie Mix) I wanted to immortalize Yuki and Pecos on the Internet in preparation for... Continue Reading →
Roll Call: Dandy
Dandy is still with us! She’s a stray from the streets of Istanbul, Turkey. We don’t know her age, but she keeps on going. She was recently diagnosed with early, early stage kidney failure, but so far she’s doing great! “Hello!” She says.
2020: Hope for a better year
It's been a long time since I've posted here. 2019 was a bad year for our family, close and extended. There was a lot of loss in both worlds, human and dog. We approach 2020 with trepidation and hope.

Another year has passed here at twodo.gs, and I'm happy to report that all our doggos are alive and mostly well. Yuki, the sickest, still has two cancers to battle. His osteosarcoma is very apparent in his front leg, and he is getting bone-strengthening treatments once-a-month to delay the inevitable break. He's lost most of... Continue Reading →
Dandy really hates thunder.
Our Golden Retriever from Turkey has a really bad fear of thunder or loud noises. When storms roll through she goes bananas running around the house looking for somewhere to hide. We have found great success using the Thundershirt to calm her down. She gets excited when she sees it pulled out and practically jumps... Continue Reading →
Photo: A statement on our times
As mentioned in other posts, Mom has a Turkish background. This means we eat at Turkish food restaurants from time to time. Me, I’m an admittedly very picky eater, while Mom is not. So it is always funny to me that one of the things I picked up a love for from Turkish restaurants is... Continue Reading →
Dandy’s trip to America
As was teased here previously, we have a new addition to our family. She's about 50lbs, cute as a button and is named "Dandy". Dandy comes to our family from Turkey! She is one of many rescue dogs (#turkeydogs) that have started coming to America from Turkey. The stories vary on how all these dogs... Continue Reading →
